Mood Central

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1993. From that day I have taken various medications searching for the right balance. Bipolar disorder or manic depression is a brain disorder caused by chemistry in the brain. Moods are regulated, therefore, in the brain and will have little or nothing to do with circumstances, although stressful ones will triger episodes. I had mixed episodes which means I could be flying high in the morning only to fall into depression in the afternoon or evening. All of a sudden things I did for pleasure just weren’t enjoyable any more. The challenge for the doctor is to find medications that treat you for depression but do not put you
 Manic Depression Symptoms
...3. Feeling of being worthless, hopeless, or guilty for nothing (as a burden on others and on this earth). 4. Lack of sleep or sometimes no sleep at all 5. Drastic weight loss or losing appetite 6. Loss of energy ...
into mania or treat the depression and then find you’re in mania. And some medications are very good at evening out the mixed moods. Very often anti-seizure drugs are used as mood stabilizers.

All psychotropic medicines work in different ways in the brain, but all of them are basically working to alter brain chemistry. And all have different side effects. One very common occurrence is dry mouth and throat. The lack of beneficial bacteria that comes with saliva is lacking and tooth decay occurs as it did with me. I become so dry sometimes that I cannot talk and must carry a water bottle or cough drops with me at all times. When I play a musical instrument, flute,
Are There Bipolar Medication Treatment Options?
...benefits, though in some cases, they can cause mania. For more severe episodes, Haldol or Thorazine are used to control mania. However, such drugs as Haldol and Thorazine, known as neuroeptics, can cause side effects such as muscle spasms, difficulty ...
I will not be able to get a good sound without addressing the dry mouth. I recall having too little water and going through a concert trying to make it with small sips and praying I’d make it to the end.

Another side effect is drowsiness. But before being on the current medication, I would often have insomnia, so I was grateful for a drug named Seroquel, also one to even out the mixed bag. And I used an anti-mania drug called Trileptal, an anti-seizure drug, which worked to curb mania, but it took so much sodium out of the body that I had to be hospitalized twice. I had decided then to try managing moods with no medical
Joining A Bipolar Chat Room? The Pros And Cons
...being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. At this point, you will have a chance to share your experiences with them as they are expected to do the same. The sharing should help a bipolar patient cope with the problem because you ...
means. While I was able to function well for a period of time, the day came when I did not sleep all night, and I said then that I would go back on medicine. Sometimes it takes a while to arrive at a place of stability, but bipolar disorder is a very treatable disorder.

I was given Depakote, another anti-seizure drug for the first 10 years after diagnosis. Previously I had been on an anti-depressant known to affect bipolar patinets with mania. It was how my GP doctor knew I probably had this disorder and referred me to a psychiatrist. He never told me that I was eating too much because the appetite center in the brain was not working.
What Withdrawal Symptoms Depression Patients may have when Discontinuing the Latest SSRI Drug
...of withdrawal symptoms, there are a few drugs whose withdrawal symptoms are even milder than Lexapro's though slower in their therapeutic action. More than 50 different symptoms have been reported with antidepressant withdrawal. These include: Dizziness Nausea, Fatigue, Headache, Gait ...
It wasn’t telling me when I was satisfied, and I gained a lot of weight. I changed doctors at the recommendation of a counselor, and he tried a number of drugs before we got the right balance, and as a result, I wasn’t eating as much. I am now attempting to replace the old mania medicine with a new one that seems to me to be relatively quick acting. It normally can take six weeks before you arrive at a point of knowing whether or not it is going to work.

When my Medicare D provider put a non preferred status on Seroquel, making me pay twice the co-pay for other medications, I appealed to the pharmacy review
Depression - Symptoms, Causes and Treatment options
...often divided into subtypes according to exhibited symptoms. 1. Mono-polar depression and dysthymic disorder By mono-polar depression there are pure depressive symptoms. Mild cases of mono-polar disorder that do not affect a persons ability to work and to participate in ...
board, who turned me down citing they needed to see evidence that all other drugs had been tried. That is cruel due to the many undesirable side effects. So I appealed and my provider then referred the appeal to Medicare. And I won only to learn that the new drug, Abilify, is also non preferred.

I’ve entitled this piece Mood Central because I want to paint a word picture of what goes on when you do go though this process of starting and stopping various medications. Picture your brain as a series of factories all addressing different body functions. And then we come to one named Mood Central for its control of moods. When things are out of whack,
Effective External Hemorrhoids Treatment Often Requires Both Conventional And Alternative Therapies
...stress on the rectal veins, as well as does frequent constipation. Many women experience hemorrhoids during pregnancy and following childbirth, as there is a lot of pressure put upon the muscles, especially during the pushing stage of childbirth. Treating the ...
what you normally find is what we could liken to factory where everyone wants to send the goods, but no one is down at the receiving dock. The receivers are sending, and that’s a problem along with the debris not being picked up. How long can a factory exist under those conditions? So the owner (me) hires a manager (the doctor) to send in medications (foremen) whose salary is being dictated by a far off treasury department which doesn’t have a clue how to run a factory. They object to paying Mr. Seroquel’s high salary and want to replace him with someone who will work cheaper.

Well, as I said, I won on appeal, using just this illustration. It’s
 Treatment for Depression
...particularly helpful for anxiety related and panic disorders and disorders affecting behaviour, for example, obsessive compulsive disorder and eating disorders, amongst others. Anti-depressant medication Persistent depression may require the use of anti-depressants for a period of time. Just like all ...
memorable, right? And that pretty much does describe the situation. I point out the fact that one foreman who words out very well at another Mood Central factory may not work at all in my factory and in fact will run the whole things into the ground. Why, I asked, would you want to make me so unprofitable just because you don’t want to pay the good foreman’s salary? Let me have this guy work for me while I still pay the agreed amount.

Last year’s provider didn’t like Trileptal and made it non-preferred although it is relatively cheap. They ignored my requests for a review, finally granted it, and then on a technicality unjustly charged me retail price, nearly
Do SSRI Anti Depressants Heal Or Cause Hot Flashes?
...a sensation of suffocation, and weakness. In some women, it is preceded by an 'aura', an uncomfortable forewarning that it is coming. The flash is followed by a flush (chill). Hot flashes are caused by hormonal changes that take place ...
emptying my medical account at the end of the year, saying the drug wasn’t filled in December but January when I would not be covered. Yet they filled the others at the appropriate price. The provider saw a way to recoup their losses after granting me the lower co-pay. I filed a grievance only to be turned down and told I had no appeal rights either with them or Medicare.

It’s a sad day indeed when the treasury dictates who works in the factory rather than the managers. It’s a sad day indeed when the insurance people hold all the power and you have no appeal. I am calling for change to take power away from providers who are so
Review Of SSRIs - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors
...depression and have been studied for several indications outside of depression. Celexa (Citalopram) is indicated for the treatment of: depression Lexapro (Escitalopram) is indicated for the treatment of: major depressive disorder generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) Paxil (Paroxetine) is indicated for ...
smug and arrogant about my rights.I should not have to pay more so that I am able to function and do the things everyone else takes for granted. Clearly, it’s an up-hill battle to which none of my representatives or senators have responded.

This article actually is an appeal to a Medicare Part D provider who thought I should have to pay double the co-payment on a medication I had been taking for years because of it’s high expense. (It’s somewhere around $555.00 for a month’s supply.) But I knew trying other medications would be at best an exercise in futility. At worst, it is not an easy thing to find the correct balance of medications and to remove one will cause suffering. So here is my appeal to my provider:

Think of a factory and your brain as a network of factories, all committed to keeping bodily functions and the mind itself in well -oiled condition. Each network of factores is
Trouble in Mood County - Medications
...anti-mania drug called Trileptal, an anti-seizure drug, which worked to curb mania, but it took so much sodium out of the body that I had to be hospitalized twice. I had decided then to try managing moods with no medical ...
owned by a one person, in this case myself. All the workers have assigned jobs. However, for the owner there is trouble in Mood City.

The facility, which we will call Mood Central, not only does not perform at optimum rate, but it is also indeed grinding to a halt due to the fact the workers are not doing their assigned jobs. Everybody’s brain has a Mood Central factory. When we say “mood,” I am not referring to the PMS women experience, although it’s not a bad comparison in some respects. PMS, however, is hormonal and related to the monthly cycle in a woman. After a few days she regains equilibrium with or without medication. The bipolar
 Manic Depression Symptoms
...all 5. Drastic weight loss or losing appetite 6. Loss of energy or feeling tired 7. Restlessness 8. Loss of concentration or losing the power to make decisions 9. Suicidal thoughts Now come the MANIC depression symptoms which you want ...
brain, however, is ever present, expressing itself in mood swings we call episodes, from the heights of mania to the depths of often suicidal depression. While it is normal for us all to experience some highs and lows, for the normal person, these things tie in to circumstances, whereas the bipolar person can and often will experience crushing depression when things are going very well. When we look at circumstances through the filter of depression, we do not see things as they really are. In a real sense, it is not the person we hear, but the bipolar brain which speaks.

In an art therapy session I once drew a house on fire. People were gathered around chatting, oblivious to
Are There Bipolar Medication Treatment Options?
...is also the oldest drug used to treat bipolar disorder. It may take four to ten days to achieve a therapeutic level within the bloodstream, and is not as effective on 'rapid-cyclers', or those who experience frequent and chronic episodes ...
the fire. One person, myself, is screaming while another person observes this and says, “What is she so upset about?” You see they cannot see the fire. For a bipolar person the house may always be on fire. And they react accordingly based on what they see, not what is. So when people say, “Why can’t she just get her act together?” they are essentially saying to the owner, me, “Can’t you put a stop to the devastation, close it down for repairs, and get this running better?” The problem is that to the biplar mind, it is impossible to change her brain chemistry without the aid of medications. It is impossible to run the factory without first a manager, represented
Joining A Bipolar Chat Room? The Pros And Cons
...given since a bipolar chat room is designed for the purpose of open discussions. However, not all questions are answered and not all discussions are being moderated. * There is the assumption that you can make friends that have a ...
by the doctor, and secondly, foremen, represented by the medications, to go in and restore order. The owner realizes he can’t do it by himself, so he makes an appointment with the doctor, who will now be the new manager.

The owner explains the problem. There are workers who job is receiving, and there are workers whose function is to send things down to the shipping area, but the receivers would rather send it all one whether or not there is anyone down at the dock. Not only that, but debris is overflowing the wastebaskets and dumpsters, and no one is carrying this out. Picture a factory where the trash isn’t being carried out. But the foremen
What Withdrawal Symptoms Depression Patients may have when Discontinuing the Latest SSRI Drug
...symptoms are considered normal with antidepressants that have a short half-life. A half-life is the amount of time it takes for half the quantity of drug to clear from your body. Drugs such as Effexor, tricyclics, MAOIs and many other ...
begin to restore the receivers to their proper funtion and to remove the debris. The result is a smooth running factory. But just as there are formen who work out, there are those who do not, and it is really a process of trial and error. Formen who worked very well at other Mood Central’s may not work out at all at this place. And one who failed at another factory now works very well at Mood Central. And the moods begin to regulate themselves.

Enter the treasurer, a person who knows absolutely nothing about Mood Central because his job is only to see that costs are kept down at the expense of the manager and the owner, me. The
Depression - Symptoms, Causes and Treatment options
...slow response to sensorial stimuli or slow physical reactions. CAUSES OF DEPRESSION Two or more factors can have an effect simultaneously to cause depression. Depression can be an independent disease, or a part of other disease. Depression is also divided ...
owner is being penalized for keeping a high salary foreman who is doing an excellent job just because the treasury does not want to pay the higher salary. They saddle some of that responsibility on the owner, who can scarcely afford it. The obvious question seems to me, “Why mess with what works/” It is a sad day indeed when the treasury dictates who works there rather than the managers. It reminds me of a comic showing an HMO exectutive in the operating room saying, “We have a saying in the front office that a dead patient is a cost effective patient, so therefore I will be taking over the nursing duties.” The caption reads, “Your HMO, with you to
Effective External Hemorrhoids Treatment Often Requires Both Conventional And Alternative Therapies
...or Preparation H.
Sadly, the insurance industry does dictate what the owners get to their detriment and really that of sociey. Think of the homeless mentally ill street people. People’s welfare lies in the hands of big industy, whose bottom line is cost, rather than with the doctor, whose bottom line is the health of his patient. It’s time to put an end to that. I have written to my senators and representatives to Congress with no response. Evidently, the little guy’s plight does not conern them.

That, they charged me retail price, citing I was not covered in January. They made a mistake, they said, on the other three. Well, if that is true, why not make a ‘mistake” on the other drug. The sad news is, for filing a grievance, there is no law requiring them to issue an appeal. You have none with the provider or Medicare, making it possible for these guys to do what they want without any accountability. The exectutive I talked with was arrogant and slick. Under the law, I would win a lawsuit but they know it isn’t worth my time or hige amount of money I would have to pay so I could take them to court.

It would be my privilege to go before Congress and stand up the little people, for myself, for justice and respect for those with brain disorders.
The good news in the latter case is that the part D provider sent the appeal on to Medicare, who ruled in my favor. You can appeal a decision but not a grievance. That’s the end of the line. But what of those who cannot write an appeal? What happens to them? This is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Each network of factores is
Trouble in Mood County - Medications
...much because the appetite center in the brain was not working. It wasn't telling me when I was satisfied, and I gained a lot of weight. I changed doctors at the recommendation of a counselor, and he tried a number ...
owned by a one person, in this case myself.

Depression anxiety sleep disorder treatment usually involves a trip to a psychiatrist and a daily dose of sleeping pills and/or anti-anxiety medications. However, there are alternative means available to you to face this disorder without resorting much to medications. If you have the will power, patience and courage to fight depression, you can succeed using these alternative means.

Sleep disorder goes hand in hand with depression and anxiety.

It has been documented by psychiatrists that nearly all of those who are suffering from depression and anxiety have sleep disorder. The reason for this is said to be physiological in nature.

Whenever a person is depressed and anxious, his body is in what doctors call a “fight or flight” mode.
Medicine For Treatment Thought Problems And Bipolar Disorder
...be prescribed on a short-term basis for the treatment of mania associated with bipolar disorder. Seroquel dosage amounts vary depending on the patient's condition and response to medication. Some patients find a relatively low dose to be effective, while others ...
This means that the body is full of epinephrine. Fight or flight response occurs naturally in a person whenever he faces a difficult situation that threatens his being. It is a natural or instinctive survival response of humans to adversities.

For instance, when there’s a fire, the body will produce epinephrine to be able to move quickly, be more alert, have heightened senses and save strength. So, if an anxious person is in a fight or flight mode, he would have difficulty sleeping. With less sleep, this also means that the hormonal imbalance will continue to disrupt the normal processes of the body.

With these, it means the best depression anxiety sleep disorder treatment is something that confronts anxiety. And
Trouble In Mood City - the Bipolar Brain
...bipolar person can and often will experience crushing depression when things are going very well. When we look at circumstances through the filter of depression, we do not see things as they really are. In a real sense, it is ...
thus, the alternative mode of treatment for this disorder shall focus on attacking anxiety.

1. Get vitamin E and B complex supplements.

Vitamin B complex is known to calm the nerves. This is best taken at night. But do you know that Vitamin E can also help you sleep at night? These two wonder vitamins are the best alternative to depression anxiety sleep disorder treatments and medications. They naturally help the body to relax and be ready to sleep.

2. Avoid sugar and caffeine.

Sugar and caffeine perk a person up, which is why pancakes and coffees are best taken during early mornings. However, since your anxiety has increased your levels of epinephrine, you don’t need anymore of those things
Trouble in Mood County - Medications
...flute, I will not be able to get a good sound without addressing the dry mouth. I recall having too little water and going through a concert trying to make it with small sips and praying I'd make it to ...
that will perk you up. Avoid sugar and caffeine at all cost. As an alternative to coffee, try chamomile tea. This is caffeine free and soothes the nerves, too.

3. Learn how to meditate.

You don’t need to be a guru to learn how to meditate. Just attend a couple of yoga sessions that will teach you the basics on correct breathing and meditation techniques. Meditation will slow down your heart rate and will calm your mind. If you can, continue what you have started with yoga. It will do you good.

4. Get counseling.

Counseling is important for your speedy recovery. Even without medications you can hire the services of a therapist to help you manage your illness
 Manic Depression Symptoms
...manic depression symptoms to prevent you from getting the treatment that is not right for you. But keep one thing in your mind for certain that manic depression symptoms vary from person to person. You will have to see what ...
and give you a chance to voice out your feelings and emotions to help you deal with your anxiety and depression without fear.

A therapist can give you more recommendations as to what other alternative means of depression anxiety sleep disorder treatment is available to you. And if you are already into alternative treatment, you can ask your therapist if you are on the right track and share with him your progress.

5. Tire yourself with exercise.

Instead of spending your time thinking, tire yourself with exercise. Release that excess epinephrine through working out. Walk, run the treadmill, swim, jog — these are some of the many cardiovascular exercises that can help you release that excess energy. Do this at
Are There Bipolar Medication Treatment Options?
...on both ends of the spectrum. Mood stabilizing agents are the most common types of bipolar medication treatments. Antidepressants such as Lithium, Prozac, Zoloft and Paxil and Valium are used to treat various levels of depression and offer mood-stabilizing benefits, ...
night, three hours before your scheduled sleeping time. This way, after a tiring exercise session, your body is ready to relax and sleep to recharge for the next day.

These are just a few of the many alternative depression anxiety sleep disorder treatments that you can choose from. If you find any of these alternative treatments to be sound and helpful for your condition, discuss with your therapist how you can incorporate them in your program towards being well.

In the world of psychological disorders there are few that are more difficult to deal with than bipolar disease. Although dealing with a bipolar disorder is anything but easy the reasons it is hard to deal with is easy to see when one considers that those who suffer its affects are cycling between two psychological states: Depression and mania. This cycling between these two states can have serious affects on the personality and behavior that its sufferers exhibit.

Within the diagnosis of bipolar disease there are several subtypes of the disorder itself. These include: rapid cycling bipolar, teen bipolar disorder, and types I and II. Being properly diagnosed is important when it comes to deciding on which treatment regimen
Depression Anxiety Sleep Disorder Treatment - 5 Alternative Methods
...natural or instinctive survival response of humans to adversities.
Bipolar disease sufferers exhibit many of the same type of symptoms with each person experiencing these symptoms to varying degrees of severity depending on which cycle of the disorder they are in. When experiencing a manic episode they will usually experience intense feelings of pleasure and/or happiness. Their creativity and motivation are at a high point, which helps explain why many successful writers and musicians show the signs of bipolar disease and are diagnosed with it. During the manic episode those with this disorder will also talk incessantly while feeling that they are not getting their point across to whoever they are talking to. In more severe cases this manic state can cross over into more dangerous territory
Medicine For Treatment Thought Problems And Bipolar Disorder
...four day period to find the optimal dose.

There are numerous anti anxiety medications and Prozac may be right for you. Prozac is a popular anti anxiety medication. There are so many that one will be right for you.

Don’t Worry If A Drug Has No Effect

It’s good to have many choices, because sometimes even certain medications may fail to work or have the desired effect. Don’t worry if this happens. All it means is that you need to try something else.

I like to make this point because I’ve been there myself. When you’re hurting and desperate for relief, and your medication fails to work, you can feel depressed and hopeless. I want to prevent that. You HAVE choices.

Prozac is an antidepressant and is
 Bipolar Disease Symptoms and Treatments
...a high point, which helps explain why many successful writers and musicians show the signs of bipolar disease and are diagnosed with it. During the manic episode those with this disorder will also talk incessantly while feeling that they are ...
prescribed more than any other antidepressant. It’s prescribed for panic disorder, depression OCD as well as other conditions.

Prozac works by making more serotonin available for the brain. It’s thought that serotonin plays a major part in depression and panic attacks, so if it’s not working properly, these problems can arise.

Panic disorder and anxiety responds well to treatment. Prozac has worked very well for patients in providing them with much relief from their ailments, so that they can function normally and happily.

Benzodiazepines Are Fast-Acting

Benzodiazepines like Ativan (Lorazepam), Klonopin (Clonazepam), Valium (Diazepam) and Xanax (Alprazolam) are other popular and effective anti anxiety medications.

Benzodiazepines are sedatives and do have the potential to be addictive, so work closely with
Depression Anxiety Sleep Disorder Treatment - 5 Alternative Methods
...of Facts-About-Depression.com. Sometimes, they are taken on an ‘as-needed’ basis.

They are generally quite safe and effective but should not be considered long-term drugs. They’re fine for a while and you generally tend to taper off slowly.

Anti anxiety medications and Prozac are definitely good options as far as dealing with anxiety is concerned. Remember, Prozac is an antidepressant, not a benzodiazepine, so you can take it much longer.

If it does not work, tell your doctor you don’t feel it’s made a difference. You can go on to something else. There’s always one that will work for you, so never worry over this. http://www.panic-and-agoraphobia.com http://www.panic-and-agoraphobia.com/anti-anxiety-medications-and-prozac.html

You may have read plenty of literature discussing the importance of changing your lifestyle and your diet for a healthy mind. These are excellent resources that can help you manage your depression. However, there are times that these alternative modes or natural ways of treating depression are not enough and that the only thing that can help you for the moment is a dose of anti-depression medicine.

Depression and Anxiety - The Basics

To understand how anti-depression medicine can help a depressed person, you must understand how depression and anxiety can strike a person.

It’s not unusual for people of all ages to occasionally experience anxiety and depression. Anxiety is a normal reaction of a person whenever there’s a
The Debate Over Depression Alternative Treatment
...you may be reluctant to begin a regimen of a potentially dangerous prescription antidepressant. If so, there are several depression alternative treatments and therapies from which you can choose. They have proven effective for many depressed people, and some of ...
significant event happening in their life, for example while awaiting the release of a test result a call from a prospective employer. Anxiety strikes when stressors such as these are present. However, normal feelings of anxiety don’t last for long. Right after the test result arrives or that call has been received, anxiety ceases.

However, to some people, when they face these types of stressors, they over-react, become restless and suffer from insomnia. So, even after the cause of anxiety has passed or has been resolved, they remain anxious and they shut down and fall into depression.

Chronic depression and anxiety are two distinct debilitating mood disorders; but for psychiatrists and researchers, these two disorders often overlap, as shown by
 Anti Anxiety Medications
...hurting and desperate for relief, and your medication fails to work, you can feel depressed and hopeless. I want to prevent that. You HAVE choices. Prozac is an antidepressant and is prescribed more than any other antidepressant. It's prescribed for ...
the illustration above. What’s more, it was found that what could treat depression can also treat anxiety.

Depression may be mild or major. With mild depressive symptoms, a person can do well even with psychotherapy and other natural means (food supplements and meditation). However, in major depression, these are not likely to suffice. You need the help of an anti-depression medicine.

Major and Mild Depression

A person with major depression has a suicidal tendency that must be addressed immediately. People with this type of depression goes into a self loathe stage wherein they want to end everything, the hopelessness and sadness, once and for all. Since they hate themselves and that they feel their depression is caused by their being
 Bipolar Disease Symptoms and Treatments
...to varying degrees of severity depending on which cycle of the disorder they are in. When experiencing a manic episode they will usually experience intense feelings of pleasure and/or happiness. Their creativity and motivation are at a high point, which ...
alive, they will want to end the life that they think causes their misery.

Anti-depression medicine is not just an option for major depression - it is a necessity, without which the hormonal imbalance can not be neutralized.

In fact even in mild depression, a medication therapy could help. If the depression although mild is chronic, meaning the depressed feeling lasts for years, anti-depression medicine can help a person live a normal life especially if he’s falling into major depression during his chronic depression years.

What is the Role of Anti-Depression Medicine?

Antidepressants are designed to prevent hormonal imbalance from happening or to neutralize the imbalance if it is already present. It has been found that hormonal imbalance causes the
Depression Anxiety Sleep Disorder Treatment - 5 Alternative Methods
...or flight mode, he would have difficulty sleeping. With less sleep, this also means that the hormonal imbalance will continue to disrupt the normal processes of the body. With these, it means the best depression anxiety sleep disorder treatment is ...
brain to go haywire and to bring one’s moods to the extreme: whether to extreme sadness or happiness or going into a happy-sad seesaw.

Antidepressant medicine is not the sole source of cure; it is just one of the many means of curing a depressed person. In fact, it only helps in relieving symptoms and not target the root source of the mental disorder.

If you are thinking of undergoing a medication therapy to help you get back on track and be able to live fully without the depression, talk the matter out with your psychiatrist. Weigh everything — the benefits versus the risks - before you decide to have a go with antidepressant medicine. Discuss the pros and cons
Medicine For Treatment Thought Problems And Bipolar Disorder
...mg proves effective; some may exceed 400 mg, but rarely will a prescription be for more than 750 mg daily, and more than 800 mg per day has not been tested for safety. Dosing starts low and increases over a ...
and ask for recommendations and advice.

Don’t forget to learn about the side effects and what to do if a major side effect is noticed and in case overdose happens. What is important here is you take an active role in your treatment process. By doing so, it will give you strength and courage to face your condition and to achieve your speedy and successful recovery more easily.

Perhaps one of the worst things you could do if you’ve begun to experience spontaneous attacks of anxiety (often called Panic Attacks) is to delay treatment from a qualified caregiver. While it is possible to cope with this condition on your own, most likely you’re going to experience poorer quality of life issues. What’s more, attempting to take care of the symptoms of anxiety through fad cures will only exacerbate the problem for you.

Anxiety management follows a logical care path as well as crisis intervention if necessary. It begins with an evaluation by your family physician. This will rule out existing conditions contributing to your attacks or identify a health problem that, when diagnosed and treated will eliminate
Anti-Depression Medicine - Balancing The Hormones
...So, even after the cause of anxiety has passed or has been resolved, they remain anxious and they shut down and fall into depression. Chronic depression and anxiety are two distinct debilitating mood disorders; but for psychiatrists and researchers, these ...
your anxiety. Therapy, training in relaxation (bio-feedback) and the development of a support system made up of family and friends will allow you to deal with incipient anxiety attacks on an emotional level.

Because many of the medications used to treat anxiety attacks require time to “build up” in your body, you may need to discuss crisis management with your doctor during the interim.
